Benit Adds a 7 mm Thicker Washer Version to Its M7-20 Milling Teeth Range

Taicang, Jiangsu, China — 30 October 2026 — Suzhou Benit Machinery Technology Co., Ltd has extended its road milling wear parts line with a reinforced M7-20 milling pick that carries a 7 mm thicker washer at the base of the shank. The new pick is aimed at contractors running W2000 class cold milling machines who want longer toolholder life without changing their drum setup.

Design change: more bearing area, less holder wear

On a conventional pick, the base of the shank bears on a fairly thin ring inside the toolholder. Under heavy cutting loads that narrow ring absorbs the full impact pulse. Over a season of abrasive asphalt work the bore tends to ovalise, the pick starts to sit loose, and rotation becomes irregular, which flattens the carbide tip on one side instead of letting it self-sharpen.

The thicker washer in this version widens the bearing face by 7 mm. Load is spread over a larger steel area, so peak pressure on the holder drops and the seating stays tight for longer. Shank diameter, retainer groove and cutting geometry are unchanged, which means the pick drops straight into the existing holder and keeps the same cutting circle.
